Small groups = BIG learning! * must read.

I am prepping and updating my small group workshop for the Alabama Early Childhood Education Conference I will be speaking at this fall. I am especially excited to speak about small groups because I am pssionate about them!

Small-group activities for PreK shouldn't be an extra or add-on component of your curriculum. Small-group learning is a powerful tool for teaching specific concepts, developing targeted skills, and building relationships with your students. More than anything, it is also an imperative tool for differentiating instruction and assessment. These small group games and activities for preschool and PreK are well worth adding to your lesson plans.

To learn more about how I use small groups and my philosophy for teaching with them, read the full article here. <-- seriously, a must-read.

It’s been a while. Many of you have reached out to ask me if I am still blogging, still teaching, still offering trainings. Yes! I’m just taking a much needed break. This school year was challenging and using my days off focused on more ECE was just not what I needed to be the best teacher I could be for my students. So this winter and spring instead of blogging and creating new resources I rested and crocheted and snuggled with my dog who thinks he’s a baby. I promise this isn’t forever, I’m...
